Xhyrwn padded through the woods, her footsteps echoing off of the trees, she looked around for any fresh patch of grass, or bushes, she was terribly hungry, and was in need of nourishment. She got lucky.
A blueberry bush had popped into her view, and she swiped her tongue across her lips, in excitement.
She would eat tonight. She would live to the next day, she'd carry the energy, and fight another day. Survival was what it was about, these days. It seemed with the human-mutant war going on, peace would never come, and if it did, it would hang on the tip of a point, only to tumble into a dark nothingness, and fling our world into desperate chaos. Well. Too late, our world is in chaos.
Xhyrwn was surprised she could think that without any of the others bursting in. She poked around her mind, and saw Hyshiro, he appeared busy with something, she ignored him. Yryro was trying to stay out of the way, and Miro just offered up a reassuring mew.
Shrugging, Xhyrwn headed to the bush, and bit some tart berries off, the blueberries hadn't ever been the same, not since the humans altered them, too. They where bitter, like raspberries, but without a pleasent taste.
She sighed, and swollowed a couple mouthfuls of berries, she yanked off the branch, and carried it in her mouth, dinner, or lunch, or breakfeast, for the next day.
Lifting a soft paw, she let her feet explore more of the foothills, it was steep, and the trees grew scarce, but the ground was covered in plants, of all kinds, bushes too. She sniffed the air around her, searching for all sorts of foods and scents she'd smelled before, but some unfamiliar ones floated through her nose as well.
She shrugged, and heard the gurgling of a stream. She walked to it, and looked in, her face seemed sunken, and pale, even though her fur was pale, she was the weirdest wolf ever. She didn't eat meat. Nor was she alone in her mind, she sighed, suppressing Miro, the shutdown kitty.
Xyhwrn looked around, and saw some trees, she curled up next to one, on top of her berries, but carefully, as not to squish them, she fell into a soft nap.
